Project Detail / Brief Description:

This project is regarding treatment of Sewage generating from Households of Trans Varuna area in Varanasi city.
This project includes sewerage network,pumping stations and STP - SBR (Sequential Batch Reactor) technology which will reduce BOD and COD upto specified limit.

Goals, Objectives and Benefits of Project:

1. Zero discharge of untreated Sewage in Varuna river.
2. Total 50260 house holds connected to the sewerage line available after this project.
3. Reduction of water borne diseases, generation of fertilizer and treated water for crops.
4. Cleanliness driving more pilgrimage and Tourist, for Holy dip in Ganges.Ultimately it reduces the pollution loads from river Ganges.
